Penny's test results and Poppy's new Aire-cut!

Hi, everybuddy! It's me, Poppy! I get to tell you about all the stuffs going on around here today! I have the freshest Aire-cut in the whole neighborhood! Okay, at least in our own house! Don't I look beautimous? Well, I smell really good too! I just got in trouble, though, for eating grass, outside. Mom was out in the back yard and she caught me eating grass. She told me to quit it, but would I listen? Of course not! I'm an Airedale and we do what we want when we want! She told me that I would throw up and about 15 seconds after I ate the grass...guess what! I threw up! How the heck did my mom know that would happen? She said, "I told you so" and threw it over the fence so nodoggie else would eat the recycled doggie food. I have a sneaking suspicion that she's been through this before. Hey, at least I did it OUTSIDE!

It seems that rumor we heard about Patches going to Athens is really true! Next Tuesday, our mom and Aunt Wendy are going to take Patches and Ezzy Rider with them for an all-day trip to Athens, Georgia. They are going to meet somebody from the Airedale Rescue Group and three other 'dales. I told Penny that maybe we'll get lucky and they will forget to bring Patches back home. Uh oh...Mom heard me talking to Penny and she told me there's NO chance! Darn! I thought, maybe if Patches stayed in Athens, there would be more food and treats for me and Penny. Mom told me not to worry about it!
Penny's test results finally came back from the lumps on her back. It seems that the results were sort of inconclusive. They say there is about a 95% chance that they are NOT cancerous! They are probably just what our mom thought...sebaceous cysts. I'm not sure we spelled that right, but they are oily cysts at the base of hair follicles. The one on her neck is already gone and the v-e-t said Mom could use black salve on them. It draws the nasty stuff out and hopefully, they will go away! Right now, she smells a lot like tar! If they DON'T go away, they might have to be removed, but we'll wait and see what happens.

Our Wisteria is blooming, right now and so far, the cold weather we had hasn't effected the blossoms. For the last two years, every time the Wisteria started to bloom, we had a heavy frost and it toasted the buds before they could bloom! Ha ha, Mother Nature, we gotcha THIS year!
Well, everybuddy, that's it for today! We have to go help Mom nurse her sinuses, now. She was outside for a few hours and we are at the peak of pollen season. Everything here, looks like someone dusted it with yellow flour! Our blue Aire-mobile is yellow and our mom can't breathe without sneezing! Of course, the YELLOW pollen is too big to bother people's sinuses, but all the pollen that you can't see is doing a number on everyone! Well, everyone but US! It doesn't seem to bother us doggies.
Aire-hugs,
Poppy (and Penny & Patches too)

Ciao 3Ps!

Yayyy, Pen's okayyy! Giggle -- I'm a poet! Poppy (love the bella hairdo, BTW!), how unfair that you can't go along to Athens to help your mama, Patches, Ezzy and your Auntie Wendy with the 'dale rescue adventure. Boooo! But it's good that you'll be there to keep an eye on Penny, just in case she needs you. Your a swell sorella!

Tanti baci!
Lucia

PeeEss: Sorry to hear about the grass horkie episode. Sometimes, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do....!!

Glad to hear that Penny's lumps are only sebaceous cysts. I have two on my tail and they don't bother me at all. Your new 'do looks very nice and I am sure that it feels good now that the weather is warming up.

Niamh

Yippee! We are so happy Penny's lumps are benign.I had the same thing happen last year and it turned out to be a fatty tumor.Better safe than sorry Mommy says. A car trip to go see another Dale is so exciting. Have lots of fun kids. (Poopy maybe you can go next time.) AireSmooches,BabyRocketDog

Grass just tastes so good that its worth barfing, don't you think? There sure are a lot of aire-cuts going on down there lately.

Why does Patches get to go on a field trip while you two are left at home? Doesn't seem fair.

I was hoping that those things on Penny were just old dale bumps. Sounds like maybe they were. I never heard of putting the black stinky stuff on them.

Mango

Wow great looking airecut you got there Poppy. You look beautiful.
Ask your mum to say g'day to Aunt Wendy & Ezzy for us. Hope they have fun in Athens.
Glad to hear Penny is ok. Hopefully the rest of the cysts will go away by themselves. Paws crossed !!!

Hey, Girlies!

I'm loving all the airecuts around your place... you 3 are some goregeous girlDales!

So glad the test results are 95% sure those cysts aren't anything serious. Hope they go away on their own, though. Give Penny Girl a big juicy goober smooch from me for all the trouble she had to go through.

Sounds to me like you guys are all going to have a good time when Patches goes to Athens for the meetup. (Maybe she can arrange a triple date for you 3 with Miss Barbara's boys.) Patches will definitely have herself a hoot running and wrasslin' with everydog, and you two will probably have a party at home! Just make sure nodog calls the police on you for making too much noise! (Keep the band under control and that should do it.)

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

I had the exact same conversation with my Mom yesterday and the day before that and the day before that!!! "Jakey, stop eating grass. You'll just throw up in a minute." Did I listen? No! Did I throw up? You betcha'!!

We don't think you really want Patches to disappear, do you? Your Mom is so cool thinking about Airedale Rescue -- and I bet you really feel the same way!!

Wirey woofs,

When the pollen falls, it means the alders are dropping their catkins, which make a nice snack.

We hope your Easter Sunday has been a nice one. We saw that you had visited earlier, and wanted to let you know we got the Easter Sunrise pictures up.... it looks a lot more like springtime there than it does here... but we were happy to celebrate the morning the way we did!

Enjoy Georgia! Is your dirt red? It might blend in with you Aire-dogs.

Whats up three amigas! Im surely glad that the test results didnt come back bad! What if you put peanut butter on the spots? They would at least taste better if you try and lick them! Dont these VETS know that our airedale spit is all healing?

Hehehe! Nice Aire-cut! I like it much? Did they take away your dogly smell that you've worked on so hard? I hate that!

Hi ladies,

Thanks for stopping by and signing the petition. We are over our 15,000 goal and still growing. What Mommy would do to these sleezbags can't be printed so you can guess what we'd do.

Mommy loves your wisteria and wants to know if it's OK to use it on my bloggie.
