Prayers for Jackson!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybuddy! We are very sad today because our pal, Jackson has received some very disturbing test results. He is feeling very poorly and we want everyone to send him lots of healing zen and prayers for his complete recovery.
These are prayer flags on Mount Everest to simulate the seemingly insurmountable road he has ahead of him. He's a strong wiry boy who has been through a lot already, and we know he can come through this too. It's going to take all of our prayers and good thoughts to help him and his J's to think of brighter days ahead. If you haven't been there already, please go to http://www.jacksonsworld-jackson.blogspot.com/ and send him lots of good vibes and healing zen.

Poppy, Penny & Patches

Wheely Wednesday!

Hello to all our furry and not so furry friends! It's me, PorkChop! Today, I am very glad I get to live in the china cabinet where it's nice and cool. Yesterday, it was over 90 degrees here, with a heat index of 105. Our mom tried to go out and trim some Ivy that likes to grow up the side of our house and she could only stay out there for a few minutes. By 9 a.m., she had to come inside! At around 1:00, we had a pretty hard rain shower that lasted...oh...maybe a minute and a half. We thought that would cool things off, but no such luck! When Mom went out to get the mail, she said it was like walking into a sauna.
Last night, we had big thunder boomers, but not a single drop of rain! Penny wore her storm shirt, so she was fine. Mom kept telling Poppy and Patches to do a rain dance, but they were too busy playing bitey-face and bitey-leggies. Patches is all rested up, now from her brunch and she keeps saying she wants to go again. She keeps mumbling something about plates of cheese.

This morning, around 7:30, our mom finally got all that Ivy trimmed. She said it was hot, but at least it was bearable. After the Ivy trimming, she walked around the yard with a bucket and picked up rocks. She let the 3 P's out while she was in the back yard and Penny got in huge trouble. Patches was play bowing to Penny and they all started to chase each other. They do that quite frequently, but this time, Penny was trying to bring Patches down like a lion brings down it's prey. She kept biting the back of her neck and she rolled her a couple of times. All the time that was going on, Mom was screaming at Penny to stop it! She also threw a pair of grass clippers at her and kept hitting the bucket of rocks with the clippers. Anything to take Penny's attention away from Patches. Then, Poppy joined in and they were BOTH after Patches. Finally, Mom got all three of them to go in the house. Penny is the queen of the yard and Patches must have done something to set her off. When Penny got in the house, she was threatened with the Attitude Adjustment Stick. Mom was wishing she had it out in the yard, but all she had was that stupid bucket and some grass clippers. Mom came in and checked Patches all over for wounds, but couldn't find any. Penny used to do that to Poppy out in the yard, when they were younger, but Poppy won't stand for it anymore. Now, Patches has to learn to stick up for herself.

Yesterday afternoon, Mom found a spot of blood on the kitchen floor, so all 3 doggies had a very close inspection. She never did find out where it came from! We think she needs to check Dad...he was downstairs in his woodworking shop and maybe he cut himself!
We haven't seen our Bluebird puppies since they flew from the nest, but we have tons of Hummingbirds coming to our feeders. The young birds are grown up now, and there are constant Hummingbird fights near all the feeders!
Well, everybuddy, this is PorkChop signing off for now. I'm going back in my china cabinet where it's nice and cool!
Aire-hugs,
PorkChop (and Poppy, Penny & Patches too)

Patches went to brunch and Penny has a new Aire-cut!

Hi everybuddy! It's me, Patches! Yesterday, I got to go to a really cool restaurant for brunch with Mom, Aunt Wendy and a couple of other ladies and their doggies. This restaurant is very dog friendly. As soon as we got there, they brought us big bowls of water and some treats. Then, while all the ladies were eating, they brought us 3 plates of cheese...all for us doggies.
We had a really great time and none of us got into any trouble! Well, I got into a little trouble on the way there and on the way home, but not while we were there. I seem to not like getting into or out of a vehicle. I'm fine once I'm in or once I'm out, but I don't like the part of GETTING in or out! They finally put a prong collar on me and then I didn't pull so hard on my leash. Mom calls it "power steering for dogs".

I had met Ezzy Rider once before when I first entered the witness protection program, but it was only for a few seconds. I recognized him, right away and we went into his back yard and peed all over the place! He has all kinds of walking trails and a ginormous cage with kitties in it. I like kitties! I used to live with a bunch of them. We don't have any kitties at Airedale Heaven so I was very curious to see all of Ezzy's kitties. They all seem very nice and none of them hissed at me!

So...while we ate brunch, Ezzy, Larkin, Bijou and I sat around the table and kept hoping for someone to drop food from the sky for us. It was actually happening quite frequently so I sure hope we get to do this again sometime. Larkin is a Portugese Water dog and he's very cool. Bijou is a Bichon Frise and she's very cute. I'm sure you already know my cousin Ezzy from his own bloggy. His brother Jagger didn't get to go with us because he is away at boot camp.

I was kind of naughty at Aunt Wendy's house because I peed in the house several times. I just couldn't help myself! I was sooooo nervous. This was the first time I had gone on an adventure (other than my escapes) since moving in with Poppy & Penny and it made me very nervous to be in a strange house! I promise to do better next time!
Penny got a new Aire-cut, this morning and she looks very pretty, but Mom is not too happy with the way they groomed her. She looks okay, but Mom specifically asked them not to leave a "skirt" on her butt, but they did it anyway! Mom didn't notice it until they got home, because Penny was bouncing around wanting to go home and Mom only noticed her face and top side of her body. A different girl did her grooming from the one that did Poppy. Next week, I get to have my turn and I'm not looking forward to that! I am still very clean and pretty from my bath. By the way, somedogs were concerned about me getting a cold bath with the hose. Well, here in Georgia, the hose water is about room temperature and Mom has to actually let it run for awhile before she puts the water on me because it's too hot. It is not possible to get a cold drink of tap water in the summertime in Georgia. We think the water pipes must not be buried very far under the ground.
Well, everybuddy, I'm off to have a nap. I am still resting up from my brunch date yesterday!
Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Penny & Poppy too)

We got an award and Patches had a bath!

Hello to all our fur friends! It's me, Poppy. We got this really cool award from Ellie, Bazzy and Deetz! It's called the Arte-Y-Pico. We are supposed to tag five other doggies, but we think just about everydog has been tagged by now. If you haven't, feel free to copy it and accept the award. Thank you so much, Ellie, Bazzy and Deetzy! You are all great friends!

Today, Mom decided to give us baths, but she only had enough shampoo for one of us. Penny and I had a meeting and decided Patches should be the one to get the bath. Mom took her out onto one end of our deck where there is a door that closes so she couldn't escape. As soon as Mom turned the hose on, Patches freaked out. She ran around the deck like a mad dog and even tried to escape through the pickets on the railing. It's a good thing she has put on some weight so she wouldn't fit through there. The deck is about 8 feet off the ground. That would be a really big drop! Mom finally caught her and got her soaped up, but then she had to turn that awful hose on again. Patches acted like it was her very first bath ever! We know she had one right before she entered the witness protection program, but we suspect that may have been her first bath in 5 years.

Actually, we nominated Patches for the bath because on Sunday, she is going with Mom to see Aunt Wendy and Ezzy Rider. It's kind of a test to see how she will get along while Mom's gone. She has met Ezzy before, but it was only for a few seconds on the day she came to live at our house. She won't be able to meet Jagger, this time, because he is in a week of intensive training.

We are pretty sure she will whip those boys into shape pretty quick. She is going to have a really cool back yard to patrol and hopefully, while she's there, she can teach Jag not to dig anymore!

I know this looks like the same picture we had in our last post, but it really isn't. As you can see, Patches is still wearing her "Red Hat" lady collar. It fits her very well and she can't squirm out of it. We know that for sure, now...especially after the bath.

I'm really glad we ran out of shampoo or Penny and I would have been the next victims! Well, at least I would have...Penny has an appointment on Monday for an Aire-cut. She's getting to be way too hairy! She should have gone a few weeks ago, but Mom furminated her and took out enough hair to make a couple more 'dales! When Patches gets dried out, Mom will be furminating her too! Fortunately, for me, I got an Aire-cut not too long ago, so the Furminator doesn't really get any hair out of me. I'm sure that will change in the next few weeks!
Well, everyone, that's about all that's going on around here. See you all next time!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy (And Penny and Patches (the clean doggie)too!)

Hi everybuddy! It's me, Petunia! I am a felted wheelie that lives in the china cabinet with PorkChop, Petey, Adorable Airedale and that crystal doggie. I'm doing the post today, to remind everydog that our mom makes the needle felted wheelies (and wheel-less doggies too). Since she lost her job, she has lots more time to do the needle felting. So...if any of you doggies out there would like a wheelie (or non-wheelie), you can pee-mail our mom at airedaleheaven@comcast.net.
This is a Wire Fox Terrier wheelie that Mom made for someone and the picture below it is an all red Airedale that has moved in with Apache.

Poppy, Penny & Patches are very upset, today, because they heard a rumor that our mom is going away for a while. She is going to Ohio, for a week, to visit her family. I thought WE were her family! I guess she's going to see her dad, sisters and brother. Patches is the only one without her nose too far out of joint because she gets to go stay with Aunt Wendy, Ezzy Rider and Jagger! That is SOOOOOOO not fair! The rest of us will stay here with Dad, but he gives us lots of treats so it's okay!

Mom doesn't want to leave our dad with 3 Aire-heads to keep track of and since he is used to dealing with Penny and Poppy, Patches gets to go on vacation too. She's going to have soooo much fun with Ezzy and Jag. She can't wait, but we aren't sure, yet, when Mom is going. All we know is it will be in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Patches' jaw dropped open when she heard that she is going away for a week. She says that's okay, because she will still have somedogs to play bitey-face with!

Poppy isn't so happy about the whole thing! She remembers the time that Mom left us for 3 weeks and she thought Mom was NEVER coming back! Dad would call Mom and have her talk to us on the phone. Poppy and Penny aren't too excited about the whole thing, but at least they know it's only for ONE week!
I guess that's all the news I have for now. This is Petunia the wheelie signing out!
Aire-hugs,
Petunia (and all the rest of the P's too)

Happy Barkday, Snickers!

Hello to all our furry and not-so-furry friends! It's me, Patches! I barked this to our personal secretary before Penny, Poppy and I boarded Aire-Ruby for the trip to Iowa. Today, we are celebrating the 6th barkday of our bootiful Wire Fox Terrier friend, Snickers. We heard there will be swimming in the ponds and lots of eatables! I sure hope those Koi fishies know how to hide from us doggies and kitties!
This is Poppy saying HBO words to Mom when she told her she had to wear a bathing suit. Poppy says she would rather go nekkid!
I couldn't believe what Mom was telling us! None of us have ever worn clothes except Penny with her storm shirt! We didn't have time to go buy any, so we are going nekkid except for our collars.

This was MY reaction to the thought of getting dressed up! Last week, our mom looked at some rain coats for us, at PetCo, but they were way too 'spensive. Especially since she would have to buy THREE of them. If one of us wears one, we ALL have to wear one!
We can't wait to see all of our fur friends at Snickers' pawty! Happy barkday, Snickers!

In other news, the bank still doesn't have Mom and Dad's checking account straightened out yet. There haven't been anymore fraudulent charges, but that could be because the account is EMPTY! We hope they figure it out soon and we sure hope they catch the guilty party! We want to bite them really hard! To make matters even worse, Mom lost her job on Wednesday. WE like that because it means she can spend more time with US, but she keeps mumbling something about having bills to pay. She really hated that job, so in a way, it was a good thing, but now she will have to find another one. We are hoping she can find one someplace where they help doggies and kitties! If she can't be home with us, at least she could be doing something good for OTHER animals!
Well everybuddy, that's all the news for today. We'll see you all at Snickers' pawty!
Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Poppy & Penny too)

Wheely Wednesday!

Hi everybuddy! It's me, Petey! I'm doing the post today because everyone else is kind of sad. You see, our Bluebirds, Mason and Mena have raised two litters of Bluebird puppies and the last ones left the nest on Sunday. We didn't think they would leave because it was pouring down rain. Our pawrents went into another room for about a half hour and the birdies must have flown during that time. For the rest of the day, no one saw any more Bluebirds. We can't believe they flew during the heavy rain!

This picture is one of the first babies clinging to a chain and irrigation dripper that goes to a plant below it.

This is also one of the first babies begging from it's mom. We didn't get a single picture of the second "litter". We don't even know how many babies there are since we didn't get to see them fly! Dad took down their nesting box and replaced it with a new one. We are hoping the pawrents will come back and build a third nest. We are also hoping that they will come back in a couple of days to get meal wormies for the new babies.

These next pictures are some that Mom found in her files. The one above is Poppy and Patches playing with the funky chicken and messing up the rug in front of the back door.

This one is Princess Patches during a rare moment of not playing bitey-face or doing zoomies. She will be getting spayed pretty soon! We want to have it done before her "season" starts and we don't know when that might be. Mom wants her hind quarter to get just a little stronger first.

Here's Poppy sucking that soccer ball again! She seems to do that A LOT!
As you can see, there isn't much going on around here. Well there is some stuff that our pawrents are dealing with, but you can't see it! They have a warning for all of you out there: if you have access to your bank accounts on line, you should check them EVERY DAY! Some sleeze-ball on the internet has gotten Dad's debit card number and wiped out our pawrent's checking account not once, but twice! They went to the bank on Saturday and had their cards cut up. They will be getting new ones, but in the mean time, all the charges that came in over the weekend wiped out the money that Mom deposited on Monday to cover the missing money. The whole thing just sucks because now Mom and Dad can't buy us any treats or anything until the bank gets it straightened out. We sure hope they catch the bad guy that did this! Mom wants him or her tazered! She thinks that would just about be equal to the pain this whole mess has caused Mom and Dad.
Well, that's my report for this week. See you all next Wheelie Wednesday!
Aire-hugs,
Petey (and Poppy, Penny & Patches too)

Tags and award from Maggie & Mitch!

Hello to all our furry and not-so-furry friends! It's me, Patches! Maggie and Mitch have tagged us! I was tagged to do the name meme and all of us were tagged to do the cold box thing. Since I was tagged first, I will start!

What is your name? Princess Patches

If you could change your name, what would it be? Queen, because I think I have progressed way beyond Princess status. Poppy might argue with that, but I don't care.

What is your pet's name (it can be a webkinz or a real pet)? Pokey the lion

If you could change your pet's name what would it be? Lazy, because he never moves unless we move him.

What is your brother or sister's name? Poppy

If you could change their name, what would it be? Princess, because I want to take over the Queen position in this house.

Now, I have to tag as many people (or critters) as letters in my new name! I tag Deetz, Mr. T-Bone Beasley, Mango, Scruffy, and Archie the WFT.

Now we're going to do the cold box tag.

Here are the rules:

Show us a photo of the front of your cold box. Tell us about at least one thing on it and one thing you keep inside it. Tag your friends and remember to stay COOL. And no fair cleaning up first!

The front of our cold box is black and nothing sticks to it (except dog slobber and paw prints). We have an Airedale calendar on the left side, but you can't see it from the front.

Inside, we have lots of stuff, but the most important is OUR yogurt. No one else eats it, so it belongs only to us doggies! That container right next to the yogurt, with the blue lid, is food for us too. It is rice, gravy and various meats that our dad cooks up just for us!

We are going to tag Jake and Just Harry the WFT's!

This is a picture of Patches trying to be queen of the house. She thinks she's ruling from high up on the guest bed!

This is yet another scary eye photo of Poppy. Mom can't figure out how to avoid the scary eyes in almost every picture of us.
We have received a pawsome award from our friends Maggie and Mitch!

We would like to pass it on to Gaia, Apache, Bogart, Kirby, Opal, William Tell and Stella.
The rules for accepting the award are as follows:
1. Add the logo of the award to your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awards you.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Add links to those blogs on your blog.
Thank you so much, Maggie and Mitch!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches

Introducing....Pokey!

Hi everybody! It's me, Poppy! Mom brought us home the most pawsome toy, this morning. His name is Pokey because, well...first of all, because it starts with a "P" and he doesn't move very fast so we call him Pokey. He's a ginormous lion that used to live at Six Flags and then he moved in with some peeple who didn't want him anymore. They sold him at a yard sale and as soon as our mom saw him, she knew he would be pawfect for the three of us! The first thing Patches did was sniff his butt.
The plan was for all 3 of us to go outside while Mom brought Pokey into the house. We were supposed to be really surprised when we came back in to see Pokey standing in our kitchen. Mom had the video camera ready and Dad had the still camera ready, but there was no big commotion like they thought there would be! Sorry, Mom, but you've pulled this trick on us before and we are on to you!

As usual, Penny ran right through the house to hide in her bed because she saw the cameras before she was even in the door. Patches and I were interested in Pokey, but we didn't act like barking fools like we did the last time they surprised us with a new toy.

Ever since Pokey arrived, I have been trying to take him into the living room, but he's a little too big and heavy for me to carry. I had him off the floor, but ran into a problem when Patches' crate was in the way. No one would help me, either! Mom and Dad just watched me trying to get him out of the kitchen and they were actually laughing at me. They said they could see my wheels turning. What? I'm not a wheelie! I guess they must have meant that they could see my brain working overtime.

Dad thought they might get a better reaction, from us, if the Funky Chicken was involved. He hid the chicken between the front legs of Pokey and turned him on. That nearly sent Patches into orbit! She hates that chicken! She started barking and attacking Pokey!
Here are some videos of us when we first met our new buddy, Pokey. Sorry they are kind of dark. We're having some storms again, today, so Penny will be wearing her storm shirt any time now! Mom finally took Pokey into the living room, for me, so I am off to hump him because he really needs to knows who's boss around here!

Aire-hugs,

Poppy, Penny (the thunder chicken) and Patches (the funky chicken hater)

Wheely Wednesday!

Hi everyone! It's me, PorkChop! I'm reporting, today, from my home in the china cabinet. I haven't been out, lately, except when everydog else is asleep. My buddies and I are still doing zoomies all over the house at night time.
Do you all remember this guy in the picture below? That's Captain High Pockets (aka Mick or Michaelangelo)! Some of you may remember that he lived with us for a while back in March. He is a really great Aire-boy, but he was just too big for our pawrents to handle. Sadly, he went back into Airedale Rescue. He has lived with an ex-marine and his two large Aire-boys since about the middle of March. We know he had a good life running around like crazy with his pals, but Mom has been very worried that he would never find his forever home. Well...(drumroll please)...he has gone to live with a great family in the Atlanta area. They have children ranging in age from 8 to 18 so he will have lots of lovin' and playmates! We are sooooooo happy for him!!!!

This picture, below, is Poppy doing what she likes best. She's sucking on her soccer ball stuffie and making lots of weird Aire-noises. Mom freaked out the first time she did this, because Mom thought she was in pain. Turns out, she wasn't in any pain...she just likes to suck the ball and make strange noises! Her predecessor, Pockets#1 did it too and the first time Mom saw and heard her, she called Pockets' breeder to find out what was the matter with her. The breeder told her that she didn't know why she did it, but her grandmother did it all the time too. Penny has never done this, but Poppy does it quite frequently and now Patches is starting to do it too. Maybe it's an Aire-head thing!

Patches is still trying to rule the house from her perch, high up on the guest bed. She hasn't had anymore great escapes, but she has worn herself out playing bitey-face and zoomies! She has put on enough weight that you can't see her bones anymore, but her hind quarters are still a little weak. That doesn't stop her from launching herself off the bed to land on top of some other unsuspecting doggie!

Mom has been trying to get a good picture of all three of us together, but so far, this is as close as she has come. She got Penny's and Patches' faces, but only got Poppy's butt! I guess she'll just have to keep trying! It sure is easier to get pictures of us wheelies!

This is PorkChop, the calm and dignified wheelie, signing off till next time!
Aire-hugs,
PorkChop (and Poppy, Penny & Patches too)
