Christmas Aire-fight and Happy New Year to all!

Hello and Happy New Year to all our bloggy buddies...furry and not-so-furry! It's me, Patches! Yep, once again, I have a lot to say! We 3 P's are hoooooge trouble with our mom! On Christmas Eve day, Poppy proceeded to half-way unwrap one of our toys that was under the Christmas tree. Mom heard something rustling and went to investigate. She wrestled the package away from Poppy and put it back. Then she had the nerve to put a gate up in front of the tree, so we couldn't get to the packages! The NERVE of that woman!
Well, on Christmas morning, she took the gate away and passed out presents for us to open. We were having a blast until somedoggies decided that they both wanted the same present. Okay, it wasn't "somedoggies", it was me and Poppy! We ended up in one hoooooge Aire-fight! Penny joined in and all 3 of us were flashing our gnashers at each other and landing several good bites! Mom was screaming at us and we finally stopped the madness! Somedoggie bled all over the living room floor and Mom still doesn't know which one of us did it. She checked each one of us and couldn't find out who was bleeding. The one who came out on the worst end of the fight, was the fox stuffie in the picture above. He spilled his guts and his voice box all over the place!

This morning, I walked past Poppy and for no apparent reason, she attacked me! She was biting my neck and we were growling like crazy. Then Penny joined in and they were both attacking me! I didn't do ANYTHING except walk by Poppy and look at her! Mom saw the whole thing and she told Poppy that there was absolutely no reason for the attack! Mom was screaming at us again and she hit Poppy with a paint paddle, but Poppy still wouldn't leave me alone. Mom grabbed a book and hit Poppy with it several times, but she still came right back after me. Mom ended up with a cut finger and her heart racing about a million miles per hour! She finally got me away from Poppy and put me in the kitchen with the gate closed so Poppy and Penny were in the living room. She checked me all over and couldn't find any blood, but she still wouldn't let us get together for quite a while. Our mom is really upset by Poppy's behavior lately! She can't figure out what's causing it and it is really upsetting our dad!
We would like to thank all of you who sent us Christmas cards even though we didn't sign up for the DWB card exchange this year. We hope everyone has a really great 2010! WE are just happy that our dad is still with us!
PUPDATE: Wed. Dec. 30: Hi, everybuddy! It's me, Poppy. I just got home from the v-e-t and yes, he put that nasty thermometer up my butt! My pawrents suspected I had some sort of problem, even though I seemed to be fine. I have two infected toofers and a lip fold pyoderma that is also infected. My vet says that's probably where all the blood came from after our Christmas morning fight. Anyhoo, I have ant-eye-bye-oticks to take for 2 weeks and I also got some meds for my arfritis! If this doesn't stop the fighting, Dr. Hardee wants to put me on a doggie tranquilizer! He says it might be because of all the changes in our household that have happened lately. We doggies are having a hard time adjusting to the fact that we just don't come FIRST around here anymore!
Patches (and Penny and Poppy too)

We have fights over food, toys and other dogs. And sometimes Teka will attack me for no reason too...but we are pretty easy to separate, not like you dales. Tell the other guys to cut your mom some slack...like Asta says, your mom has enough to handle without you guys getting it into your heads that you want to belong to the W.W. Whatever.

Please don't fight! Maybe Poppy doesn't feel good or she is sensing the stresses of the holidays and all the changes around there. I sure hope you kids can get along and our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Sorry we haven't been around. Mum's been too busy singing the blues...lol

Girls, you've got to be good for your mum. She has lots on her mind and your fighting isnt helping. Please be good ok.
In saying that my sissies can be naughty to. Infact Tess & Lucy had a bit of a barney the other day as they both went for the ball. I think they may have crashed into each other which triggered it off.
We hope things have settled down now.

OH Patches - Carrleigh and Lilly have been fighting too - it must be something in the aire!! Mom has a scar on her wrist where Carr bit her when Mom was trying to separate them. And Mom, Lilly and Carr all had to have antibiotics. It was not a pretty scene - us terriers really know how to tear each other up!! Now Mom is having to keep one of us girls crated while innocent Piper just struts around all over the place. Mom just read this on the internet - "male dogs fight for breeding rights and female dogs fight for breathing rights".

Happy New Year,
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Java

Y'all need to use your words. Fighting is not good. Mommy might call somebody like Ceasar Milan to visit y'all.

Oh dear, this is most disturbing. I agree with Deetz that maybe Poppy has an owie. Somebody lost some blood besides mom, right? I hope you gals can work things out. Your mom must be super tired having to deal with your dust ups along with everything else.

I think a time out is a good idea. Might need a no toy zone for a while. Momma always hides all my toys when doggies visit us because I can go mental if I see one of MY toys in another doggie mouth.

We are continuing to send smoochies to your dad especially, but also to your mom and the three of you.

YIKES! This is very disturbing news! You girls need to get along! Your mom and dad have enough to worry about! Please get along, okay?

Love ya lots

Merry Christmas! I hope you girls have settled what ever it is that is bothering you. Maybe you need more time by yourself to play with your toys so you don't aggravate each other. Take care of your selves.

Sometimes I also fight very hard with Dyos. He bites my ear and I bite his....and it is always because of toys or the best place in the front of the gate .... I am the chief and in his head he is also the chief....pffff hard life.
I hope 2010 will be a good year for you.

Happy holidays to you as well. I hope Poppy is feeling better in time to party!

Hope that you all have a calm New Year Eve with no doggy battles! You three girls need to get along right now, your Mommy is under a lot of stress and is very busy. She has far more to do than to breakup Airefights. Perhaps Poppy has an owie and was acting out (or temporarily trying to be an alph dog).
Hugs, Miley

Now, now, kiddos. You need to keep it together. We know it's tempting, when there's so many bitches around it can get narky, over the smallest things.
And even, when the rest of the time you can be bestest of pals...
Instead of hitting, ma could try shreeking at the highest pitch possible and grab the offender by the hind legs and pull them up in the air.

Ahemmm...Scruffy clears his throat...terriers? Fighting? And upseting the hoomans? THAT NEVER HAPPENS HERE...

Actually, Mumsie went to the DOGTER'S today to get some ANTIBIOTICS for her stoopid finger that she so stoopidly shoved in my mouth...I mean what was I supposed to do...kiss it? And I really didn't appreciate when she referred to me as "fecal face" to the doctor...grrrrrrrrrr....so I have a few eating issues...no need to be mean about it....

Ahh, guys...it's just so hard to be good when there are changes in the house and toofers are infected and and you're worryin' bout your dad and your mom's tired and there are lotsa people comin' and going...

We keep you dogs and your mom and dad in our thoughts and prayers and send you our wishes for a peace-filled New Year...

Hugs and kisses,

Scruffy, Lacie and Stanny

We're looking forward to a good 2010--you do, too, okay? Happy New Year!!!

Ohhh 3 P gurrrrrls..... I think you guys are all so worried and concerned about your parents that you took your frustration out on each other. Poppy being the alpha was probably feeling like she needed to restore order.

I hope everything gets better for you guys in 2010, and I know it will because you all love your daddy so much and you all want to make him happy!

If you get really desperate, we can do a swap - one of you lovely gurls for STINKY. He's a STINKY he doesn't fight, he defers to me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you 3 P'S, your wonder mom and loving dad!

Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade

Oh you poor babies. Fighting is not good. Sorry we're so late replying to this, but have Poppy's thyroid checked out too. Some dogs get aggressive when it's hypothyroid. Snickers got that way when she first had it, she would fight with me for no reason. Be sure they do a FULL thyroid panel. Terriers should be in the mid-high range, if it's in the low range, the dog should be on the hormones.

Oh boy. We are just catching up on all that we missed, and we're hoping there is a happy ending to these stories. We were hoping that it was the stress of the holidays that was adding to all the commotion, but now we realize there may have been some other factors, too. Hope you are feeling better, Poppy. AND that everyone is getting along. Forget the sharing. Just avoid the bloody fights. Please.

We love you guys
