We have a winter wonderland! Khyra should be HERE!

Hi, every buddy! It's me, Patches! We have loads of snow today! Khyra should be HERE...unless, of course, she has her OWN! This is only the second major snow storm since our pawrents moved to Georgia 18 years ago. The last one was in March of 1993 and it was over TEN inches! They had only been here for 4 months and Mom was wondering what in the h-e-double hockey sticks Dad had done to her! They moved here from Arizbona where you have to look at a calendar to remember what season it is!

Oh, yeah...I forgot to tell you...it was raining right before they got here and it rained for the next 3 months and then dumped the 10 inches of snow on them! Our mom was NOT amused!

Of course, the TV channels have been talking about this snow coming for DAYS! Usually, when they do that, we only get a few drops of rain or snowflakes. But, THIS time, it was different! We went to bed last night, around 10:30 and it wasn't doing anything outside! Well, when we demanded to be fed at 4:30 this morning, we had already had about 5 inches of snow.

Our mom was worried about the OLD dog (Penny) going up and down the steps, so a little while ago, she (Mom...not Penny) went out and cleaned off all the steps and put some sea salt on them. She wasn't sure sea salt would work, but it does!

Mom ordered us some pet safe ice melter from Ace Hardware, but it won't be here until tomorrow! That will, pretty much, guarantee that we won't have any more snow for THIS year! She has been trying to find some stuffs called Safe Paw Ice Melter, but the closest store that sells it, is in Kentucky! Yeah, she could buy it online, but the shipping charges are almost twice as much as the actual ice melter!

We both had a major case of snowface, this morning, but our mom wasn't fast enough with the camera! That Penny plows through the snow like a snow plow! Face first! I, however, am a little more careful. I don't plow through it, but I get plenty of snowballs stuck to my furs! Then, when I come inside, I sit on the rug in front of the back door and whine for Mom to remove my snowballs. She just calls me a drama queen and goes back to whatever she was doing! The NERVE of that woman! I thought she KNEW that I am a princess!

Well, every buddy, our personal secretary is off to make some beef stew, now and we will be sitting in the kitchen staring at her until she gives us a bite!

Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Penny too)

Hi Patches and Penny, wow you guys do have lots of snow. We don't have any in the city...yet. The weather guy predicts that it'll be snowing here starting tomorrow night but it'll be washed away with the rain on Thursday and Friday. My dad says that I'll have to wear my blue boots to keep my feet dry. Maybe you guys will get MORE snow and your mom can get some "snow face" pictures. Bye for now.

I am so happy for you - enjoy it while it lasts!

We saw 2" of snow in Alabama many years ago and it was a big emergency - are your schools closed? :)

Hi, My name is Steve Jr. I am the director of operations at Gaia Enterprises, Inc. The company that manufactures Safe Paw. I read your wonderful winter blog. We get noted when someone posts something with Safe Paw in it. I would like to see if we can help you better. We are very concerned about these other "Pet Friendly" Ice Melters. Read the labels and warnings. Every Ice Melter except Safe Paw is harmful if ingested. Your dogs are beautiful by the way, I don't want them getting hurt. Safe Paw is an extraordinary product that people have been trying to immitate for 14 years. We are the first SAFE Ice Melter invented (was Safe Thaw). You're pets safety is very important. We would like to explore some possibiities with you or your mom to get this to you. One thing you can do to help is to go to a store and demand it and say you won't settle for anything else and there are others that feel the same way and tell your local pet store or hardware store, grocery, market, what ever that they can call us and talk to us. We are very easy to work with. After all we are a father son business, we don't get complicated. We are looking into better distribution to our southern states. We are aware that the poles are shifting and winters will be moving all around. Call us at 1-800-783-7841. Ask for Steve Jr. I can't guarantee anything, but I will see what we can do. Thank you.

G'day gals. That was really interesting hearing about all the snow you got. We have had bucket loads of rain lately. We are so sick of it. The snow looks very pretty.

Ciao miei amici!

Well, I practically had to pick la mia ragazza up off the floor after she read your bloggie. She laughed so hard at the "tails" of your snow adventures that she nearly fell out of her chair! She thinks your mamma writes some very amusing things about the two of you -- even though I, Lucia, told her (and, of course, demonstrate daily) that ALL Airedales, just by nature, are very amusing and jubilant. Heeeeeeeee!!!

She wonders if you mamma talked with the 'Safe Paw' man who posted a comment to your bloggie -- was he able to help you get the goods??

Tanti baci1 9oooh1 See how the '1' and the '9' are here instead of an exclamation point or parenthesis?? That's because i jumped on la mia ragazza's lappytop keyboard and knocked the left-siide shift key tab off ... again111111111 heeeeeeeee111111111111111)

PeeEss: We are very sorry to have disappeared for so long, and to have been so out of touch. Things with the move have finally settled down a bit, so we hope to be around to visit you more often.

We're so happy for you!!! The heavy snow in the south did mess up our Dogdad's travel plans to Birmingham and one of his colleagues' plans to travel from Atlanta -- but that means more homebound snuggles for us!!!

Enjoy your fun!!!

Wirey love,

Jake and Just Harry

It's fun to play in sometimes, guys, but be thankful you don't have to deal with it for six months out of the year. What's that saying? "Nice to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there?" Yeah.

Snow in Georgia?! Hope it stays on the ground a long while so you have lots of days to play in it!! Tell Penny not to plow too much. That beef stew sounds perfect for a snowy day.

Love,

That snow is in all of the United States except Florida. We heard that on the news last night. It's sunny here in Phoenix, but Flagstaff has lots and if we're good, we'll get to go play in it soon. Love your photos!!
