Hi everybody! It's me, PorkChop! I got to go outside, today to check on the birdie's food. Their water bowl looks okay, but there are no meal worms in this container. It could be because Mason and Mena are such hoggie birds!
They ate the wormies all up and Dad won't put anymore out until the sun isn't shining on the table anymore. That will be about 5 p.m. or so. If he puts them out too soon, the birdies don't eat them fast enough and the wormies die. They must be yucky, once they die because then Mason and Mena won't eat them.
Poppy's got her sad face on, today, because she knows that Mom and Dad will be gone most of the day. Our dad is having surgery at 7 a.m. and they won't be home until some time in the afternoon. He's having a spinal cord stimulator implanted to stop the pain in his legs. We are all really hoping it works! He's had a lot of pain for a really long time and if this works, he will have to go back to the hospital and have a battery pack surgically implanted in his lower back. He has to wear the stimulator for one week and then they will know if it is going to work.
While I was out checking the birdie food, I also decided to check in on the tomato plants. These two red ones look great! One of them even has 3 tiny yellow blossoms! Woohoo! We know that we get a tomato for every blossom.
These yellow ones look good too. They are a little smaller than the red ones because it took an extra week or two for Mom and Dad to find them. It's a good thing those real doggies only eat the tomatoes and not the vines. The vines are poisonous to doggies! Fortunately, Poppy and Penny are old enough to not put EVERYTHING into their huge 'dale jaws!
This is the video that Mom tried to upload the other day, but blogger ate it. She was able to retrieve it. Sorry it's kind of dark and hard to see. The camera was set up on a tripod, in the living room and everytime Mom went to turn it on, the Bluebirds flew away. She was finally able to sneak up on them and push the "on" button, but she forgot to push the button to make it closer. That blond hair must be shrinking her brain!
This is PorkChop signing off until next Wheelie Wednesday!
Aire-hugs,
PorkChop

What bootiful birds, Penny and Poppy!!! We woulda barked and barked!!!
Now Girls, if ya need any nursin' help with ur Dad, let me know...make sure to check his dressin' every couple of hours...some soft noorishin' food after surgery would be good...soups, toast, tea etc...no major decisions should be made today and no drivin' or operatin' the lawn mower etc...He should exercise his fingers by providin' good Dale scritchies to your heads at least once every hour. Runnin' his feet through your soft Dale fur would be good for his leggie circulation, too....oh...and tossin' ya some treats is excellent to improve his upper extremity range of motion....lotsa treats....
Great job to Pork Chop for his reportin' skills....
