Wheely Wednesday!

Hi everydog, kitty, hammie, bear and hooman! It's me, PorkChop! Yesterday, I got to have a rare adventure outside in the daylight! All the real doggies were busy so our mom took me out to check on the tomato plants.
These cherry tomatoes are doing great! Dad has already eaten a whole bunch of them. They look like they are small enough for ME to eat, but I guess I better not smoosh any red tomato juice on my beautimous snooter. I don't think Mom would like that!

This bucket thingy for growing tomatoes looks like a good idea. They get watered from the top and every once in a while, Dad gives them an extra shot of Miracle Gro. Mom is waiting to get enough green ones to have fried green tomatoes. It won't be long now, Mom!

It's kind of starting to look like a tomato jungle, over here! Growing them this way sure makes it easier to pick them off the vine. Last year, we grew them in the ground and we lost a lot that were too close to the house and our pawrents couldn't reach them. This year, all they have to do is turn the buckets around to reach them from all sides.

I had to go check this one too. It is one that the little neighbor girl gave to our mom for Mother's Day. Since we didn't have room for any more buckets, we planted it in a ginormous flower pot. It seems to be doing well too. I see some blossoms on here that will turn into tomatoes! Dad had to tie it to the deck rail because it was growing so tall that it was falling over.

Uh oh! Here comes Poppy to sniff my butt. I guess maybe my great outdoor adventure will have to end soon. I don't want Poppy slobber all over my fur!

Here's a picture of Patches with one of her favorite toys. As you can see, she's taken over the big bed. She likes to lay up there and look down on Poppy and Penny when they are in their beds.

She thinks she's hot stuff laying up there like the supreme ruler of Airedale Heaven! I even saw all three of the girls playing together, this morning. I'm hoping that means no more fights or 'spensive vet bills for our pawrents! Princess Patches seems to be figuring out that play time doesn't have turn into an all out war.
Well, everyone, I need to go back to my china cabinet so Mom can do some needle felting before she goes to that work place. She's making wheelies for Apache, Yalo, Tuddy and Willow! I say the more wheelies...the better! Maybe, one day, we wheelies can rule the world!
See you all next Wheely Wednesday!
Aire-hugs,
PorkChop (and Poppy, Penny & Patches too)

Pals,

It seems that lots of dogs wear something like a t-shirt -- or a more sophisticated something called an "anxiety wrap" -- to ward off the stresses from loud noises. We'll have to try it for Just Harry since he suffers more than I do.

Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Good morning Pork Chop! Ummmm, what do you mean wheelies for Apache, Yalo, Tuddy, and Willow!!? I was never consulted on this?!! You mean MORE AIREDALES are coming to my house? That's it, I'm looking for a new home. My hooman mommy would turn into an Airedale herself if she could... I just know it. Like we don't have enough adventures around here. Well, I wonder what room they are going to live in. They are NOT taking my spot on the bed. I mean it. Off for a nap to think about this one.........

How exciting that Apache, Yalo, Tuddy and Willow are getting Wheelies too! The more the merrier we always say!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Hi there!

I've never seen a Cairn Terrier wheelie, have you? I'm still hoping I can be a hybrid - a Cairndale Terrier - and come play with the girls at Airedale Heaven!

Wow Porkchop....love your upside down tomatoes....ours are grown in the ground and we have lots of little tomatoes on the plants and lots of little peppers too but none have been big enough to ripen yet. Mom always looks forward to the first ripe tomato of the year. She likes to eat maybe 3 or 4 for lunch, just quartered and salted and popped into the mouth. So good.....

Glad to hear that Patches is behaving better....it's always sad to hear about doggie fights especially when you are the one that got bit like I did last time.

My Mom makes doggies out of polymer clay but hasn't tried the needle felted ones yet....your Mom's look pawsome...she does such a great job...we will look forward to seeing the new wheelies when they are finished.

Foxy hugs,
Asta Marie, WFT

That is so cool how those tomato plants grow and its a good thing they are growing their own with all those people getting sick from them.....maybe we will try that next year.....They are cutting wheat here like crazy, trucks everywhere, so their will be plenty of bread and stuff

Penny! Poppy! Patches! Porkchop!!! What's up! That's a lot of P's!!!

I wish I lived with 3 other Airedales, I could have "pretend" wars with lots of bitey face! Hey, could I come live with you! Do you guys have room for a 56 pound Airedale puppy?

However, Patches, you are gonna have to scoot over on the bed. I prefer higher ground as well! Hehehehe!

Hope all is going well in your worlds!

Slurp!

hey Pork Chop, we sure do like to look at your tomato plants. they don't look like ours at all. ours have some little blossoms on them, but no tomatoes. mom says it takes a while to make tomatoes.

we're glad to see that Patches is doing so well. she looks happy on the big bed.

and we're so impressed that your mom is making wheelies. our mom can't make anything - darn it. and wheelies are the neatest dogs.
