Not much going on around here!

Hi everydog, kitty, hammie, bear and hooman. It's me, Poppy! This has been a pretty uneventful week around here. For US, that's a GOOD thing!! No fights, no vet visits or any bad stuff happening. We like it that way!
We have been kind of sad, this week since Baby Love and Rufus went to the bridge, but the one bright spot, in the week, was when Asta NY told us that Sadie Sue had found a home. We were very happy about that! We were all very worried since she was scheduled to be euthanized on Friday, but some wonderful person came along at the last minute and rescued her. Sadie Sue, we hope you have a really wonderful life from now on!!!!
The picture, above is somedog's hind legs. Our mom's camera has a delay after you press the button to take a picture and it gives us a chance to run away before the picture snaps. We seem to get quite a lot of these out-takes!

Mom was doing a photo shoot of me and Patches got her tail in one of my pictures. Mom can't wait until her next Aire-cut so she can get rid of that squirrel tail. When she was groomed, right before she came here, they didn't do her tail. We don't know whether she wouldn't let them or if they just ran out of time since Mom and Aunt Wendy got there before they were finished. Anyway, it looks pretty silly, but they will fix it next time.

I am still on a d-i-e-t. As you can see from my backside, I'm still a little porky. Mom thinks I have lost a little bit of weight, but it's hard to tell. It's pretty interesting around here with two doggies on diets and one who needs to eat everything in sight! We've been eating a lot of green beans and our treats have been cut in half. Oh, we still get just as many, but each one is a smaller size. Penny and I think that stinks!

Princess Patches has decided that ALL of our toys belong in one of the bedrooms. Last night, Mom had to remove 9 toys from the bed! Also, she has learned how to steal cherry tomatoes right off the vine. She carries each one around for a while and plays with it and then she finally eats it. What a doofus! She even smashed one on the carpet before she ate it!
Well, everyone, that's about it for today. I TOLD you there wasn't much going on! See you all next time!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches

we do like the story about Patches stealing the cherry tomatoes off of the vine and then smashing it on the carpet before she eats it. do they taste better that way?

our mom keeps threatening Bailey and Baxter that we have to go on diets. we don't know how she can feed us separately. how do you do that? we think it should not be allowed!

woofs.

Poppy,

I am so sorry to hear that your treats have been cut in half. This is cruelty to animals!! Hope your person comes to her senses soon.

Bummer about your diet and your treats being cut in half! You sure don't look chubby to us but trying to convince your mom is another story! We love playing with cherry tomatoes before we finally squish them and swallow them! Patches is one smart girl!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Hi Poppy,
that's good news about Sadie Sue. Is she and Airedale too?
My G-Mom would me real mad if I stole the cherry tomatoes out of her garden.
Sorry about the d-i-e-t thing. That's not fun.

I don't think I would like being on a diet. I like to eat everything. However, if you have to be on a diet, you might try eating carrots for treats. They are very yummy.

Good morning! Mommy said that she "wishes" that it would be quiet around here for a week. This week we have a couple of dogs leaving for their new "forever" homes...Mr. Sox is one of them! I'm thinking it is going to destroy mommy.... again! We eat carrots for treats around here.... and green beans... and well, diets do suck don't they!!! Chin-up! Hoomans eventually tire of the diet thing and we all go back to eating good... I mean really good!!

My camera has that stupid delay thing too. Most annoying.

I got caught pulling apples off the apple tree. Whoops!

P.S. Momma says not much going on sounds like a good thing.

Oh dear, I'm having tail issues too - the people that groomed me left my tail funny (I'm a bit embarrassed really).

Oh my...we had soooo much to catch up on here...first of all, Mumsie sez she's read there's a "honeymoon" phase when Newdog comes into the pack...and that like you guys thought as Patches gets stronger, she may challenge for Top Pup position....sounds like it was a scene!!! Mumsie keeps the penny can right in the kitchen...if there's a snarl that looks prolonged the can gets a mean shake and we all cower. She also said you can buy an air horn on line to use to break stuff up...they're not 'spensive and very loud!!!!!

Those tomatoes growin' on your deck are amazing!!!! We had NO idea that the Sherwin William is into gardening too!!! (GRIN!!) Does that mean you'll get tomatoes in blues, pinks and purples??? WOOT! I guess it depends on what color paint bucket ya have!!!!!

Sounds like Patches is settling in very nicely especially if she's doin' an upper level bombshelter sorta like Agatha with all the toys!!!!!

Your housie is bootiful!!!

Hugs and Kissies to all of ya and sorry it took so long for us to stop by!!!

Tomato buckets of love...
Lacie

Does tomatoe tomato have an e on the end? Hmm...

Oh..of course I can swim...um...it was just a temporary paralysis of my hind leggies...yep...that's it!

Sounds like everyone is settling in and I am sure glad no one is fighting anymore. Charlotte is always trying to start a fight with me, but I know I can woop her so I just let her think she is tougher then me for right now, but one of these days, its on!

Yeah, we had a week like that in the beginning of last week but then all you-know-what broke loose and the week ended in a blizzard of activities. Whew, I'm hoping it gets boring around here again. I need a dog-nap!

Woohoo...Patches really looks happy! This is so cool. Princess P's you are doing a good job at helping her get well and fit in!

You have my mom laughing at the cherry tomatoes. Pretty soon they will have to build special poles just to keep them out of Dale reach.
