'sploding stuffies and Patches' third great escape!

Hi everyone! It's me, Patches! I get to do the post today even though I have been a baaaaaad girl! This morning, Mom was working out in the back yard and when she came in, she counted heads like she always does before closing the door. She counted Penny and Poppy, but I seemed to be missing. Mom searched the back yard and no Patches. She checked all the rooms, in the house, and no Patches. The last place she checked was the basement and still no Patches. By that time, she was starting to panic. She thought it was really strange that I didn't come when she was calling me since I ALMOST always come! When she finally realized that I wasn't in the house or the backyard, she and Dad ran out the front door looking for me and calling me. They didn't know it, but I was two houses down trying to figure out why I could hear the neighbor dogs barking, but I couldn't see them! The man right next door to us and his daughter were out in their front yard and they heard Mom and Dad going crazy. Finally, the man spotted me in the other neighbor's yard. He told Mom that he could see me and then EVERYONE started calling me. I figured I better head back home before someone had a heart attack or something. Mom was squatting down and calling me, but I ran right past her and headed for the basement door. The little neighbor girl tried to catch me, but I was too fast for her! Finally, Mom showed up and opened the fence to the back yard and I ran in. Mom was mumbling something about being too old for all the heart attacks I give her and too fat to chase me. Hey, I don't know what the big fuss was about...I came back HOME!
After my great adventure, our mom was walking through the house and found me stretched out on the guest bed. I had made myself a nice nest with this blanket I found.

I was even roaching, but I was too fast for the camera to catch me!

I don't know what's wrong with me playing on the guest bed. After all, I am Princess Patches and I plan on ruling this house someday!

Yesterday, when Mom came home from work, Dad told her that there was a surprise for her in the big bedroom. He wouldn't tell her what it was...he said she could look after they ate dinner. Well...this is what she found! Poppy and I had a great roaching session on the bed!
The thing that really surprised her was the snow storm in the bedroom. We did destructo-mania on a poor unsuspecting bunny rabbit!

We found him after he 'sploded and we thought he needed to have some major surgery. You can see the two guilty parties in these pictures.

Last night, when Mom went to put us outside for our last potties of the night, she found this zebra on the kitchen floor. He 'sploded all by himself! We can't figure out why, all of a sudden, our toys are 'sploding all over the place!

Poor Mr. Bunny raggit is totally blind now and he's waiting in Dad's wagon for the next time someone makes a trip to the trash barrel.
After Mom found the Zebra, he joined the bunny raggit in the wagon. Rest in peace Mr Raggit and Zebra. We loved you TO DEATH!!!

We wish a great 4th of July to everyone in America and a happy weekend to all our international buddies! See you next time!
Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Penny & Poppy too)

Some of my stuffies explode all by themselves too - don't know why! Most of the time Mommy tries to fix them, but they just explode again - what's an Airedale to do?!

Have a great Fourth of July you guys!

Becareful around those exploding stuffies! That could be dangerous!! Patches, you should really stop giving your Mom heartattacks. I've foudn that if Mom doesn't have heartattacks, you get more treats and amooches on the nose PLUS you can pretty much sleep wherever you want and nobody will say anything even if you choose to lay in someone's lap when they're trying to do something.

Oh Patches! You really have to learn not to escape so your people don't have nervous breakdowns!!!

Love those exploding stuffies though!

Patches,
i gave my G-Mom half a heart attack too (so she says) I ran out the front door (it was open just enough for me to squeeze out)She started chasing me like a lunatic. I thought I better sit down on the ground like a good dawg before she really did have a heart attack. Humans are so dramatic!

Hi Patches....Apache here. I give my hooman mommy heart attacks at least once or twice a year. It just "hits" me like a falling rock or something... I just get the urge to go on "ROAMING" mode. I have been found in some pretty interesting places tooooo!!! The last time I took off I got hit by a car.... it really is dangerous out there. I've stayed home ever since...Poor mommy!!! Better stay home Patches, better stay home...

Wow. We have stuffies exploding over here for absolutely no reason too! It's a puzzling phenomenon. You really shouldn't run away from home like that. Moms tend to worry - ALOT!

Whoa Patches, you better chill out on the escape artist thing! That's one sure way to lose your backyard privileges. I got into a bit of trouble myself yesterday cause I was lettin my 2 little human cousin kids know I'm boss. The boy was screamin cause he was scare of me. I don't blame him, I'm tough and scary. My mom SCREAMED at me! The nerve! I went and hid from her for awhile but then I forgave her. Humans over-react alot but we have to put up with them cause they feed us...

Princess Patches! You are giving your mom a heart attack. You need to tone things down for a while.
