Our personal secretary has been too busy to type what we're barkin'!

Hi everybuddy! It's me, Poppy! I can't believe it's been over a week since we've posted anything new on our bloggy! Maybe that's because there ISN'T anything new! It's been too stinkin' hot to go outside and yet our mom is way too busy to blog. What's up with that? Doesn't she know that we really need to know what all our furbuddies are up to?
Mom has been dogtoring the bump on Penny's back some more. It's a sebaceous cyst and it won't go away by itself, so Dr. Mom has been using Icthammol on it. It's very yucky! It's black stuff that smells like tar and it's supposed to draw the nasty stuff out of the cyst. Patches and I are staying waaaaaay away from her until that cyst finally 'splodes!

Patches is standing guard by one of our mom's bear poles! She has heard that our mom and dad are selling lots of stuffs and she wants to be the first to know if any bears are up for grabs! Actually, Mom has tried to sell some bears, already, but no one seems to want them (or anything else, for that matter)! This economy has put a big halt to anyone buying on Ebay or in our mom's booth at the antique mall.
Some of you may know that our dad has some health issues. Well, he can no longer do much woodworking, so our pawrents are selling a lot of his tools and fishing tackle. That's what is keeping our mom so busy. She has to go to the basement with Dad so he can tell her what he wants to sell. Then they bring the stuffs upstairs, take pictures and list it on that Ebay place. They keep saying that it is all very time consuming. Whatever THAT means! All WE know is that we aren't allowed to go to the basement with them because one of us (Patches) likes to open the door to the outside and escape into the neighborhood. The first time she did it, no one could figure out how she got out. They finally decided that she knows how to open the latch on the screen door. What a doofus! Doesn't she know that we have it way too good here to be running off? Hello...there is no aire-conditioning out in the neighborhood and it's much easier to find treats right here in our own house!
Well, everybuddy, I'm going to lay on top of one of the aire-conditioning vents for a while!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy (and Penny & Patches too)

My blind froggie 'sploded AGAIN!

Hi, everybuddy! It's me, Patches! This is what our mom found when she walked through the living room. My blind froggie 'sploded all over the place! He made a HOOGE mess! Bad frog!
Mom just happened to catch a doggie (Poppy) leaving the scene of the crime. Even though Poppy was looking particularly guilty, I was the perpetrator! Shhhhh! Don't tell my mom! I'm pretty sure she thinks Poppy did it. Heeheehee!
Mom keeps saying my blind frog isn't long for this world...whatever THAT means! Both of his arms are almost completely severed. That's where the stuffing keeps leaking out. My mom keeps threatening to send him to the trash can, but she knows I can't bear to part with him. He's my very favorite stuffie!
Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Poppy and Penny too)

Wheelie Wednesday and Hot, Hot, Hot!!!!!!!!!

Hello, peeps and pups and kitties, hammies, bears and hoomans! It's me, PorkChop! I am reporting, today, from my new home. Some time ago, I told you that I was moving to a curio cabinet in the living room. I have a great view of the goings on in this house from my new home! Peaches even moved with me! We like it better, in here, than we did in the kitchen because we don't have to get so jealous everytime the peeps and pups are eating something!

We're really glad you could join us for Wheely Wednesday! It has been soooooo HOT here, in Georgia that those real doggies don't stay outside for very long. It seems like they run outside, do their bidness and run right back inside. Penny is the only one who spends much time out there. A few days ago, our mom saw Penny rolling in something. She made Penny come inside and she didn't go out to see what she was rolling in. Well, yesterday, Penny was chewing something in the same area where she was rolling a few days ago. Mom decided to see what it was since there is no FOOD out there! It was a dead birdie! Mom took it away from Penny and threw it into the woods very close to a tree so the doggies wouldn't roll on it anymore. Well, that didn't work because Bird Breath, aka Penny, found it again. This time, Mom threw it over the fence! Good work, Mom! What took you so long to figure that one out?

Yesterday, Patches got a face trim. Our mom says it's kind of like trying to give a haircut to a Piranha! Patches had so much hair on her face, that you couldn't see her eyes! Now, her eyebrows are shorter and Mom trimmed the hair on her nose, so you can actually see her eyes! Now, the next thing she's getting is a b-a-t-h! Shhhhh! Dont' tell her!

On Saturday, after our mom finishes her yard sale-ing, she and Patches are going to a Farmer's Market down in Roswell with Aunt Wendy and Claire-dale. They are going to be handing out flyers about the Airedale Rescue Group! We sure hope they find a lot of peeps who want to adopt some homeless 'dales!

Now that I've moved my home into the living room, I get to watch those real doggies do zoomies and play bitey face all the time! It's kind of funny, though. They almost always do it at the same time each day. The bitey face happens every time someone goes into the bathroom or one of the bedrooms and the zoomies happen every time the doggies come in from outside. They are sooooo predictable!

Patches and Poppy are snoopervising the mailing of packages of stuff that were sold on Ebay. I can't see into that room from my new home, but Patches told me what's going on. That room is where the 'puter is and Poppy likes to lay at Mom's feet and have her read everydoggie's blogs to her.
We're a little behind on reading bloggies, right now because we can't seem to keep the intersnet up an running for very long at a time. Thanks a LOT, Comcast! Yeah, the TV, phone and intersnet were all down again, this morning! This time is wasn't just us! They are having a problem in our area. We don't know what is going on, but they better get it all fixed soon! Our mom says she would switch to a satellite dish, but she's already had Dish Network and DirecTV and she doesn't like it when the signal goes out every time a mosquito flies by! So...I guess we are at the mercy of Comcast. Mom says she would rather take poison than have to call them! They advertise what great customer service they have, but they LIE! Their customer service SUCKS!
Well, everybuddy, I'm off to nap the day away in my nice aire-conditioned curio cabinet! I can nap in between the always entertaining bitey face sessions!
Aire-hugs,
PorkChop (and Poppy, Penny & Patches too)

Internet problems and our mom's trip to UGA.

Hi, everypup, everycat, everyhammie, bear and hooman! It's me, Poppy! Just in case you don't recognize me, this is my deer face. See my sticky uppy ears? Mom says I look like this a lot! Patches is pacing the floor because of all the HBO words that have been flying around our house, lately! Our internet, TV and telephone were all out for THREE whole days. We felt like we were isolated from the whole world! It's a good thing our mom and dad have cell phones! Right now, they are not at all happy with stoopid Comcast! On Tuesday morning, everything went out and when our mom tried to call them, she was on "hold" like forever! She finally said some HBO words and gave up trying to call on Tuesday. She called really, really early on Wednesday and they said they would have someone out here THAT day. Yeah, right! When it got to be afternoon and they hadn't come yet, Mom called again. They couldn't promise they would be here on Wednesday. (Insert more HBO words HERE).

Patches said she just couldn't believe it! She was tired of watching Toby Keith videos everynight! Finally, on Thursday, around 5 p.m., the Comcast guy showed up. He said that some idiot had put in a new cable line for us, but he hooked it up wrong so the signal was coming to the house and then going right back to the street! Now, there were even MORE HBO words flying because no one told us they were putting in a new cable line! If they had told us, we would have known what the problem was right away! Also, our mom is really pi*sed off because they told us that if we switched to Comcast phone service, the phone wouldn't go out if the cable did. More lies! Anyway, it's all fixed now! Thank doG!

I'm sure most of you remember Patches telling you that our mom and Aunt Wendy were going to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Well, they went last Tuesday and had a really great tour and a very nice lunch with really great peoples! The vet school was a lot smaller than they expected, but UGA is hoping to get funding to build a new facility soon! They saw some peoples that were preparing to do surgery on a white rabbit and a really big cat. They didn't see the actual surgeries, just the prep! They also got to see the large animal hospital where there were lots of horsies. They even saw one miniature horsie!
Our mom said it was a really great day! They even got to see Miss Barbara and Del again since they went on the tour too. I'm sure you remember them from when Mom and Aunt Wendy went to Athens to meet up with the Airedale Rescue peoples.
On the way home, they stopped at a UGA bookstore and our mom bought lots of stuffs to sell on that Ebay place. She found lots of stuffs on sale! Woohoo! It's a good thing, 'cause she still hasn't found a real job yet!
Well, everybuddy, I'm going to watch some TV, now, since we can actually see stuff other than videos! Oh, yeah...and the HBO words have stopped!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches

Aire-transport and my barkday presents!

Hi everybuddy! It's me, Patches! I want to tell you all about my barkday presents, but first, I have to tell you about the Aire-transport that Mom and Aunt Wendy did yesterday. They drove to Chattanooga, Tennessee to take Amos (a 10 year old Aire-boy) to his new home and to pick up Claire-dale (and 8 year old Aire-girl). Amos is on the left, in the picture, and Claire is on the right. Mom is on the far right and the other two peoples are Amos' new family. Claire is going to be fostered by Aunt Wendy, Ezzy Rider and Jagger. When they introduced Claire to the boyz, Ezzy cleaned her ears and Jag wanted her to play. Aunt Wendy said Claire has been a very good girl and she slept all night! When Claire disappeared from her home, her peoples didn't even bother to try to find her. She ended up at a teenage rehab place where she lived for about a year. The teenagers must have given her lots of treats because she is waaaaaaaaay overweight! Now she is on a serious diet and she's concentrating on growing her furs back. She was so matted that she had to be shaved!
Now, on to my barkday presents! As you can see, I am loving one of them to death! He's a cool loofa doggie wearing a patriotic suit.

Here's a picture of ALL my presents!

My favorite was the one in the middle. It was some treats and the bone in the middle of the package said "Princess". I know they made it just for me because my name is really Princess Patches!
On Tuesday, this week, my mom and Aunt Wendy are going to Athens yet AGAIN! This time, they are going on a tour of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine small animal hospital. Ya see, when our mom and dad both go to the bridge, their will says that UGA gets all their stuffs. All the stuffs will be sold and there will be a scholarship for students that can't afford to go to vet school. They are also meeting up with a couple peoples from Airedale Rescue that will go on the tour with them.
Well, everybuddy, I'm off to play with my loofa dog some more and I have to make sure that Poppy and Penny don't get him!
Aire-hugs,
Princess Patches (and Poppy & Penny too)

Today is my 6th barkday!

Hello to all our furry and not so furry friends! It's me, Patches! We interrupt our regularly scheduled Wheelie Wednesday because today is my 6th barkday and the first one that I really get to celebrate! Yeah, I had my 5th barkday here, at Airedale Heaven, last year, but I had only been in the witness protection program for 3 days then. I was so nervous being in my new home, that my barkday wasn't really that big of a deal.
This year, I'm REALLY celebrating! My blind frog decided to celebrate with me by 'sploding right in front of my face. Wasn't that nice of him? He shot stuffing right out of his arm pit just for ME!

My mom says he should really go in the trash, but since he's the stuffie that I love the most, she says I can keep him a while longer. Yay! As you can see, our squirrel/racoon still lives! Sometimes, Poppy performs her secret ritual on him, but none of us have bitten into him enough to make him 'splode. Mom says it's a good thing since he's filled with tiny styrofoam pellets like Pokey the lion was. Mom used Pokey's stuffing to ship some stuffs she sold on Ebay and some lady got mad. We don't know why...her glass stuff arrived without being broken and our mom put a note on the outside of the box for her to open it outside. Maybe she didn't read the note!
As some of you know, last Sunday was my Gotcha Day! I had ice cream and some special treats! Woohoo! Mom said I can't have too many treats though, since I need to lose 3 to 5 pounds. Boo! We were supposed to have my big pawty on Monday, over at Ezzy Rider and Jagger's house, but it rained most of the day, so I just celebrated at home with Poppy and Penny. Today, our mom is running away with Aunt Wendy, so maybe she'll bring me back a really cool present! Yeah, they run away at least one day a week, but they always come back! They call it their mental health day...whatever THAT means!
Well, everybuddy, I'm off to enjoy my special day!
Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Poppy and Penny too)

Wheelie Wednesday...and Patches got all her shots!

Hello to all you doggies, kitties, hammies, bears, birdies and humans! It's me, PorkChop! I know, I know...I haven't posted in a while! I've been really excited lately because I have heard a rumor that I may be moving to a new home! Oh, I'll still be at Airedale Heaven...I am just moving to one of the curio cabinets in the living room. See that big crystal plate behind my tail? Well, our mom has acquired a couple more just like it and she needs to make room for them. Actually, it's fine with me to be moving to the living room. That's where the real doggies spend most of their time and I can't see them from the china cabinet in the kitchen.
Patches went to the v-e-t, this morning! No, nothing is wrong...she just had to get all her yearly shots. She was not amused when they took her temperature! She sat down so they couldn't get near her fuzz butt, but the vet tech tricked her and got the nasty thermometer in there. She was also pretty upset about them stealing some of her poop, but she felt better about it once she found out everything was okay! Mom said she was a very good girl, but she wouldn't eat the treat that Dr. Hardee gave to her. She told our mom to put it in her pocket for later.
We don't know what's up with this picture of Patches. She is foaming at the mouth and we have no idea what that thing is that's stuck to her big marshmallow nose! It must be a weed of some sort!

Here's our final installment of Mom's Peony pictures. This plant had at least a dozen blooms all at one time. It was, definitely, the prettiest of all our Peonys!
Unfortunately, our mom thought she was doing a good thing by putting stakes in the ground to hold up the blossoms. Wrong! As soon as she put the stakes in, the wind blew the Peonys over so each stem was bent right at the top of the stakes. Wouldn't you think she would have remembered that from last year? Obviously not, since she did it AGAIN!

And finally, for your viewing pleasure, we have a very rare, full face picture of Penny! When our mom went out to get the picture of the Peony, Penny was laying down on the living room floor. Mom came through the door, from the garage, and surprised Penny! Of course, by the time the stoopid flash delay thingy worked, Penny was already up and trying to run away, but Mom got her face anyway! Heeheehee!

Well, everybuddy, I am heading back into my china cabinet so I can pack up everything for my big move! Oh, yeah, and I need to rest up for Patches' big Gotcha Day and Barkday celebrations! I have heard that the pawty is at Ezzy Rider and Jagger's house on Monday (Memorial Day)! We hope to have lots of pictures!
Aire-hugs,
PorkChop (and Poppy, Penny & Patches too)
