We got our toenails clipped and new bones!

Hi to all our bloggy buddies! It's me, Poppy! Last Thursday, our mom and Aunt Wendy decided to torture all three of us! They took me and Penny to a new grooming place to get our toenails trimmed. Yes, they were going to do it themselves, but finally realized what a chore it would be. The grooming place only charges $5 per dog, so duh! It was waaaaaaaaaay worth it to take us there! They took me and Penny first and then came back home to get the wild child (aka Patches). They were going to take all 3 of us at one time, but ONE of us (again, Patches) was so wild that they decided to take her separately. The lady at the grooming place did our nails so fast, that Mom says it took longer to get us loaded into the Airemobile than it did to get our nails cut. Sorry there's no pictures of our torture session, but Mom can't control doggies and use the camera at the same time.
Oh, yeah, and don't tell anyone, but Patches peed on herself. Not once, but twice! She got so nervous being in a new place that she just couldn't help herself! It's a good thing the ladies, there, are used to that sort of thing! She had to get rinsed off before she could even get back into the Airemobile! What a doofus! Maybe the reason they were able to get us done so fast was because they muzzled us. Mom told them they'd HAVE to muzzle the wild child, but they decided to muzzle all 3 of us. We didn't mind one bit!

After all the torture we endured, Mom bought us each a bone! They are sooooo yummy! Patches and I chewed ours so much that we made our gums bleed. That was when our mom decided that we had enough for one day. We were only able to chew one end off each of our bones, so Mom knows they are good for keeping us busy for a looooong time. These bones are made especially for aggressive chewers. Woohoo!

Patches took hers directly to the big bed to do her chewing. Since one of the ingredients in the bones is corn starch, our mom decided the bed was not the best place for chewing. She made Patches leave the room and then she shut the door! Patches was a little upset with this turn of events, but she got over it quickly when Mom gave the bone back to her! Now, the bones have been washed and they're waiting for us up on the counter in the kitchen, right next to our treat jar. Hmmmmm. Maybe we need to do a little counter surfing when Mom leaves to go job hunting. Tomorrow, she's going to a new camp for doggies to see if she can get a job there. We hope she does, then maybe we can go to camp too! We hear that they have a pool and they give doggie massages and everything!
Well, everydoggie, that's about all our news for today.
Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches

Still too sad to blog!

Hi everybuddy, it's me, Patches! Yeah, we know it's been a week since we've blogged! We are still too sad about our buddy, Charlie, going to the Rainbow Bridge! He has always been the #1 doggie on Dogs with Blogs, which is only fair since he and his sister Opy and their pawrents started the whole thing! We are really going to miss the big Labradoro Bionico! For any of you who didn't know Charlie, he was a big Labradude with a pacemaker. Hence the name Labradoro Bionico or bionic Labrador! We are keeping all our paws crossed for Brooke, Greg and Opy (the Gruff Puppy)! We know it takes a looooong time for the hurt to ease up, but we also know that they gave Charlie the best life a pup could ever have. Run free, sweet Charlie, until we meet again when we all get to the bridge.
Just wanted to let you all know that my mom finally finished my Aire-cut. Well, as much as she's going to do. She didn't cut me real, real short because she likes to see me kind of curly. Okay, that's what SHE said! I think it's because she doesn't have nearly as much energy as I have, so she quit. She says I look like a teddy bear! I don't know about THAT, but she keeps saying that I'm too cute for my own good. Whatever THAT means!
Poppy and Penny will be getting their turn on the grooming table sometime later in the week. Mom has to have some help from Aunt Wendy to get them up on the table. Unlike me, they don't want to go up the steps. Maybe it's because the steps look like they lead to NO WHERE! Anyway, Mom says the table is at the pawfect height for her. She's kind of short, so it works out well! She also said the clippers are really great. They didn't even get too hot even though all my wiggling made it take longer than it should have!

Patches (and Poppy & Penny too)

What is she thinking?

Hi everybuddy! It's me, Patches! All three of us doggies are wondering just what exactly our mom is thinking! Now, she's joined FaceBook! She never WILL have any time to spend with us! Just look at the look on Poppy's face! She still can't believe it!
Poor old gray haired Penny says she thinks our mom has finally lost that last screw that was loose in her head!

I, Patches just want to know when she's going to finish my Aire-cut! Okay, I'm not really in a hurry to get my furs finished, but our mom is spending waaaaaay too much time on the 'puter lately! She started my Aire-cut last Wednesday and only got part of my black saddle done. Since then, she's been too busy to finish! Between taking care of Dad, taking care of US (the most impawtant thing), trying to sell on Ebay and at the antique mall, she already doesn't have enough hours in a day!

This afternoon, there are some men coming over to get a bunch of tools that they bought from our dad. Mom says we have to stay upstairs when they go to the basement! Booooo! I really like going to the basement when I know there's no chance of Mom putting me in the "torture chamber" for more Aire-cutting. She says I can't go, though, because I know how to open the screen door and make my escape. I have no idea what the big deal is! I always head for the same house whenever I escape so surely she knows where to find me! She says she doesn't have time to go get me and bring me home. I told her that I'll come home eventually, but she isn't buying that!
Well, everybuddy, I'm off to find an aire-vent to sleep on! That way, I get to hog all the aire-conditioning!
Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Poppy & Penny too)

Wheelie Wednesday and our grooming station is READY!

Hi everybuddy! It's me, PorkChop! I know, I know it's been a while since I posted anything for Wheelie Wednesday! You can blame Mom for that. She has been so busy that she doesn't know whether she's coming or going! She even put up a picture of me in my old home instead of my new one. She couldn't find the picture of my new home in a timely manner, so she just used the old one!
Mom and Dad have been spending lots of time in the basement. They are still getting Dad's tools ready to sell. A few have already been sold, but they have lots more! While Dad is going through his tools, our mom has been doing this:

Yep, the grooming station for the real doggies is all ready to go! Mom and Dad built the steps because Mom can't lift the doggies onto the table and they extended the size of the table top so nodoggie falls over the edge. They even put foam padding on the top so the doggies won't slip!

They even have a shelf with a power strip right above the grooming table. Now, if Mom just had the time to actually groom somedoggie!

Here's the first victim! Patches has no problem going to the basement, but she isn't too thrilled about going up the steps to the grooming table. I guess it's because she knows what goes on up there...especially since she doesn't have a bit of trouble going up and down the stairs outside! She can navigate THOSE stairs at warp speed!

Mom was ready to start on the first victim, this morning, but she couldn't get victim number one and victim number two (Poppy) to stop playing bitey face. She may have to do victim number 3 (Penny) during a thunderstorm. That's usually the only time Penny goes to the basement!
Since Mom can't get anydoggie to go to the basement, this morning, she's going out to do yard work. It's finally cool enough to do something outside for a change! While she's outside, Poppy and Patches will stand by the door and cry. Penny gets to go out first, with Mom and then we switch doggies. Penny comes in and Poppy and Patches go out. Ya see, all 3 doggies can't be in the back yard at the same time when Mom is out there. If Patches, Penny and Mom are out there together, Penny tries to attach Patches and take her down like a lion takes down a wildebeast! She only does it when Mom is out in the yard with them! She used to do it to Poppy when Poppy was young, but now that Poppy's old, Penny doesn't do it to her anymore. We think Penny is just trying to let everydoggie know that she is the Alpha when she's outside. When they're inside, Poppy is the Alpha. We never have been able to figure why it's that way, but it is!
Well, everybuddy, I'm going back into my new home in the curio cabinet so I can watch the comings and goings of all of us who live in this zoo!
Aire-hugs,
PorkChop (and Poppy, Penny & Patches too)

Uh oh! We're in BIG trouble!

Hello to all our furry and not-so-furry friends! It's me, Poppy! All of us doggies are in ginormous trouble! Our mom went and bought a professional grooming kit so she can give us Aire-cuts without having to pay the equivalent of the national debt! Look at that box! It even has a picture of an Airedale on it!
And it gets even worse! A few weeks ago, our mom found a Pedi Paws at a yard sale. It had been used once and then that doggie left for the bridge. Mom was really excited. US...not so much! She can use it on me and Penny, but the blond dog (aka Patches) will still have to go to the groomer to have HER manicure. That is unless our mom decides to buy a muzzle! Patches does NOT like her feets touched. She wrinkles up her lips and shows her teefies when someone touches her feets! Oh, yeah, she growls too. Since Mom would prefer to keep her fingers she will take blondie to the groomer to be Dremelled!

Here's Patches' thinking about what's going to happen to all of us! Yes, our mom has groomed doggies before...just none as large as we are! For the past two days, our pawrents have been in the basement a lot and we thought they were getting dad's tools ready to sell. Well, yeah, they were, but they also took the time to build a set of steps so we can get up on the grooming table without anyone having to lift us. Woohoo for Mom! Not so woohoo for US!

I, Poppy even turned on my scary eyes when I heard about these revolting developments!
In other news, it has been one year, today, that our mom lost her job and she still hasn't found another one...hence the "home" grooming! All I can say is it sure is a good thing she sells enough on that Ebay place to still buy us doggie foods and treats!
Oh, yeah, one more thing before I go. We found out, today, that Patches has magical powers! She has been doing a lot of excess barking, lately, so our pawrents put a barking collar on her. No, the collar doesn't bark...it's supposed to prevent barking! Well, yesterday, the collar didn't appear to be working, so this morning, Mom put in a new battery. After a few barking sessions, we figured out that Patches isn't fazed one bit by that nasty collar! She's got magical powers, I tell ya! When Penny or I put it on, it shocks the "you know what" out of US!
Well, everybuddy, I'm off to hide somewhere in case our mom decides to start our Aire-cuts this afternoon! Maybe she won't do it today...we think she might be too tired after all the work she did in the basement. She even learned how to use a power saw and a nail gun...and believe it or not, she still has all 10 fingers AND both eyes! Good job, Mom and thanks for not nailing Dad to anything!
Later, everydoggie! Wish us luck!
Aire-hugs,
Poppy (and Penny and Patches too)

We got baths and eyewatch Friday for Norwood!

Hi everybuddy! It's me, Princess Patches! Yesterday, our mom and Aunt Wendy got this bright idea that we should have Aire-cuts and b-a-t-h-s! Aunt Wendy brought over her grooming table and they made ME the first victim. Most of the time, they were both working on me, but my mom just HAD to take time out to go get the camera so you all could see my humiliation! The birdies are going to have lots of Aire-hair for their nests. Oh yeah, and stoopid Penny and Poppy escaped the torture because Mom and Aunt Wendy ran out of energy.
Too bad they still had enough energy, after my Aire-cut, to give all 3 of us baths! One end of our deck has a door that closes so we were held hostage, in there, until we were all done. Our mom even tried to give Aunt Wendy a bath! Heeheehee! Oh, sorry Aunt Wendy. And we're sorry you had to drive home with a wet tushie!
After our baths, we had very large Aire-naps until it was time to go to bed. Here's Poppy imitating a stuffie! She thinks that rug was put there just for HER! Ha! It was actually put there because I, Patches ate part of the carpet!
For some strange reason, Blogger is giving us problems, this morning! Stoopid blogger! The picture above is my eyewatch Friday picture for Norwood!
It wasn't bad enough that our mom had to take my picture during my humiliating experience on the grooming table, but Penny gets to be humiliated too! See her green bandage? Well, in real life, it's really bright green! Penny's cyst still hasn't 'sploded, but it's getting bigger, so Mom put some zinc oxide on it and covered it with a bandage so she can't rub it off on the carpet! The Icthammol she was using wasn't working fast enough so we switched to zinc oxide. At least it's white instead of black and it doesn't smell like tar!
Well, every buddy, I'm going outside now to see if I can get some stinky stuff on me so I can get rid of the shampoo smell. I think there must be a reason that the word shampoo ends in poo! I would much rather smell kind of "doggie"!
Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Poppy & Penny too)

Photo tag for Tula and Eye Watch Friday for Norwood!

Hi every buddy! It's me, Patches! I know, I know...our stoopid secretary hasn't let us post in over a week...AGAIN! This is going to be a pretty short post because once again, she who controls the 'puter is REALLY busy!
We have been tagged by our new friend, TULA to do the phototag game:
The rules are: Open your photos folder and select the 6th folder. Then select the 6th photo in that folder.Post that photo along with the story behind it on your blog. Last, tag 5 friends.

Here's our photo! It's me performing my secret ritual on my blind froggie. He's sooooo much fun! I performed his eye-ectomy shortly after he came to live with us. He hasn't been able to see in a very long time, but that's okay. He still makes me very happy (even when Poppy's ginormous teddy bear is in my way)!
We will have to come back later to tag 5 of our buddies!
Right now, before we lose our secretary, we wanted to show you our Eye Watch Friday photos. These are especially for NORWOOD. He's such a cool doggie!...and very, very cute too! Here you go, Norwood! This first one is me, Patches!

And the one below is Poppy! We think it's very strange that our eyes always turn out the same color as our carpet.

Do you think maybe it's because teal green is our mom's favorite color? We think it's just a very strange co-ink-ee-dink!
We hope to be back again very soon! This stuff with our mom being so busy sure is getting old!
Happy 4th of July to all our furry and not-so-furry friends in the U.S. and happy weekend to everydoggie else!
Aire-hugs,
Patches (and Poppy & Penny too)!
